Amerikan Overdose cover Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle" gone metal! | TheMetalverse.net

Masked metal act, Amerakin Overdose, just released a cover of Christina Aguilera's pop classic Genie in a Bottle alongside an official music video on YouTube below:

With a dramatic and dark sound, Amerikan Overdose kicks into action with electronic auto-tuned vocals and an exaggerated and comical music video. The band wastes no time, bursting straight into action with explosive guitar chugging, distant piano, and ominous electronic elements. Trap beats soon lead into slamming double bass drums, scream-singing, and crushing distorted guitar tones showcasing all the metal intensity you could hope for. The track has excellent production value with Amerakin Overdose bringing Johnny Santos (Spineshank, Silent Civilian) on board as a Co-producer.

After a brutal build-up with fierce screams, the song jumps into a final chorus before fading out with whispered vocals and gradual instrumentals. We love Amerakin Overdose's not-so-serious attitude and exaggerated pop covers that show a lot of personality while also being catchy and bringing metal to previously non-metal tracks. Fans of pop-gone metal, industrial metal, and nu-metal are certain to enjoy Amerikan Overdose's sound and aesthetic. You can stream Genie in a Bottle out everywhere now!
