Awaiting Abigail Release Debut EP Singles | TheMetalverse.net

Tracklist

  1. Falling Under
  2. I Hate You
  3. Bad Mind
  4. People Pleaser

Hailing from Dallas, Texas Awaiting Abigail is a fresh new act that has released 4 singles since their debut in 2024. The first track, Falling Under starts off with distant lofi piano and haunting reverbed vocals, before bursting into hard-hitting guitar leads, booming drums, and soaring instrumental melodies. Powerful signing vocals from lead vocalist Abigail Hill take the forefront of the mix as addictive melodies and layered vocal harmonies build depth alongside fierce instrumental soundscapes. Mixing chunky classic metal-inspired instrumentals with anthemic rock vocals, Awaiting Abigail quickly showcases a sound that blends intensely melodic rock elements with the destruction of hard rock and heavy metal.

The band's second single, I Hate You starts with a school bell and a dramatic intro before catapulting into funky guitar-driven riffs and emphasized vocal melodies. Awaiting Abigail excellently balances contrast between distorted and clear vocals while also using masterful juxtaposition between heavier and clean instrumental tones. In a bridge that brings back the gossip-style sample from the intro, splitting apart the song and keeping things interesting, I Hate You bursts into a final chorus before fading out with a shredding guitar solo.

Bad Mind wastes no time, jumping right into guitar chugging and crashing cymbal hits before building into the song's chorus with some of the heaviest guitar tones of the band's discography. Bad Mind's instrumentals draw from a nostalgic classic heavy metal sound with explosive distorted guitar tones while harmonious vocals lay down wildly addictive melodies overtop of the song's deep musical atmospheres.

The final and most recent song release, People Pleaser starts with ferocious guitar and phasers pulsating around the mix, before slowing into gradual leads and melancholy vocals that suddenly shift into a dynamic chorus that leaves space in the atmosphere for highlighted vocals and vibrant guitar chords. The band's overall dark instrumental sound and haunting production is contrasted by bright and melodic singing that creates an expertly crafted sound that remains exciting throughout the EP.

Mixing infectious rock vocals with the instrumentals of heavy metal, Awaiting Abigail creates an addictive and wildly interesting sound that blends multiple rock and metal genres into a readily consumable and anthemic sound. You can stream Awaiting Abigail's 4 songs out on all platforms now!
