The song immediately establishes heavy progressive metal influences as bouncy djent-style guitar and bass riffs are complemented by explosive drums and soaring string melodies. Despite lacking vocals, Behind Closed Doors does an excellent job of keeping things fresh and interesting–creating deeply complex soundscapes with intricate layering of many instrumental tracks.
