Song Review: Master Splinter - "No Die"

Master Splinter releases new track, "No Die" | TheMetalverse.net

Hard rock outfit out of Portland, Oregon, Master Splinter released their latest single No Die on March 28th. The track starts off with a quick count in before bursting into hard-hitting distorted guitar riffs and dramatic spoken and whispered vocals. Master Splinter released their debut self-titled EP back in 2024 and No Die doesn't back down from the band's distinctly eccentric vocal style, sludgy riffs, and psychedelic atmospheres.

At just under 4 minutes, Master Splinter bursts into some heavy metal action with brutal reverbed screaming and echoing atmospheres that showcase an experimental and unique–but equally heavy-hitting soundscape. Master Splinter finds a home somewhere between sludge metal, psychedelic rock, experimental genres, and classic metal. We love the sense of personality and attitude that the band shows throughout their music and fans will find the band's eccentricity charming.
