Florida-based metalcore quintet Not Enough Space just released their new single Devil Left Me On Read on March 14th via Thriller Records. The metal act returns with the heaviest track of their discography to date, as explosive guitar tones and raw screams fill the track from the very first moment. With no clean vocals and a runtime of just under 3 minutes, Not Enough Space showcases a brutally intense display of metal that draws parallels to OG deathcore and extreme metal genres.

From racing thrash tempos to booming and slowed breakdowns, Devil Left Me On Read is a wildly ferocious exhibition of what Not Enough Space has to offer.

The band stated this about the track:

“Our new single, "Devil Left Me On Read," is our heaviest release yet, drawing influences from Suicide Silence and The Black Dahlia Murder to capture a fresh yet nostalgic deathcore sound. The lyrics illustrate the seven deadly sins—greed, envy, wrath, lust, sloth, gluttony, and pride—and how negative thoughts and past mistakes can lead to becoming one's own worst enemy.”

Not Enough Space also released an ominous, blood-filled music video accompanying the single which you can watch below:

We also got the chance to talk to the Orlando, Florida act in an exclusive interview!

Not Enough Space Interview

1:  Lyrically and musically, what are your biggest influences throughout Not Enough Space's Music?

Lyrically and musically our music is heavily inspired by Asking Alexandria, A Day to Remember, Suicide Silence, Avenged Sevenfold, and Veil of Maya. We aim to create nostalgic music that blends our favorite elements of metalcore, post-hardcore, and deathcore.

2: What's the band's most memorable moment from a show, tour, or festival?

We had a blast touring with our friends in Attila and Born of Osiris last spring! It was our first big tour, and we got to meet lots of people and make new friends as well as interact with fans! We also got the chance to showcase our single “Primitive” for the first time ever on that tour, and the reception so far has been sick!

3: Not Enough Space's music has included memes or comedic elements like the moan in "Primitive". Where did you start with the idea of adding surprise comedic elements before breakdowns and do you plan on doing more in the future?

We started adding more comedic elements to our songs as a way to grab everyone’s attention. As silly as it sounds it’s a great way to market and get more people interested in what you’re doing! We also just like to have fun and let loose when it comes to songwriting!

4: What's the most important piece of advice you would give to an aspiring band/musician?

Our biggest piece of advice is: learn to take constructive criticism from fellow peers and don’t be afraid to learn things that may be slightly out of your comfort zone! It always helps to expand your knowledge and learn from the people around you!

5: What's next for Not Enough Space?

We have a lot coming up this year! We’re going on tour with Capstan starting on March 21st that we’re super stoked for. We’re also playing at Louder Than Life on September 18th and at Orlando’s Warped Tour in November. In addition, we are excited to announce more music very, very soon, as well as releasing our upcoming album in the fall!
