SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL Returns with Symphonic Song "Behelit" and Beserk-themed Music Video
Slaughter to Prevail is back with a new iteration of sound.
Originating from Russia, Slaughter to Prevail is currently the most popular deathcore band on Spotify. The act, now based in Florida, just released their latest song "Behelit" today and it might sound a little different than the Slaughter to Prevail that most people have come to know.
Filled with all the slamming deathcore riffage and impossibly low gutturals (thanks to Alex Terrible) that you'd expect–the band also introduces a more symphonic sound with intricate string arrangements and distant choirs. After a string buildup Slaughter to Prevail blasts into a crushingly heavy slam-style breakdown with rapid double bass drumming, explosive vocals, and aggressive guitar as the earlier orchestral elements lay down melody behind the intensity of the breakdown.
In addition to the new song release, Slaughter to Prevail released an accompanying music video based on the popular anime Berserk. Alex Terrible has hinted at the possible crossover previously, often sharing pictures to his Instagram featuring the signature massive sword that Beserk's main character Guts is known for wielding.
"Behelit" showcases a new chapter for Slaughter to Prevail and displays a willingness to experiment with new sounds that work alongside their distinct slam deathcore style.
