Song Review: “Old and Tired Dog” - SOUTHDOGROCK
Southdogrock, a rock act from Southern Germany, released their track “Old and Tired Dog” in 2021 and it recently went over the 100,000 stream mark!
The track takes an Eric Clapton-inspired sound that mixes a classic rock sound with blues grooves, and a brass-heavy jazz style. Emphasized singing is backed up by distant piano, soaring funky guitar leads, bright organs, and many more jazz-esque instrumentals.
Southdogrock excellently layers an impressive lineup of instruments to create an intricate and expert-crafted musical atmosphere. “Tired and Old Dog” tells the soulful tale of an elderly southern dog who searches for a place to rest. The band was also awarded Best Traditional Blues Album by the German Rock & Pop Awards in 2021.
